1. Purpose
StudiAI is an AI-powered revision aid platform, published by Perform Code SAS and available on the web (https://studi-ai.com) and through its iOS app. It lets you upload your course materials and generate quizzes, study sheets, summaries, revision plans, corrections, diagrams and conversations with a learning assistant.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for accessing and using the service. Any use of the service implies their full and unreserved acceptance. The financial terms of subscriptions and credit packs are set out in the Terms of Sale (https://studi-ai.com/cgv).
2. User account
Registration is open to any individual aged at least 15. Below that age, the JOINT consent of the minor and of the holder of parental authority is required: signing up and accepting these Terms constitutes the minor’s consent, and the consent of the holder of parental authority is collected by email; the account remains limited until it has been validated (see the Privacy Policy, section “Minors”). Your year of birth is requested at sign-up.
The Terms are accepted through an explicit checkbox at the time of sign-up (or by clicking “Continue with Google / Discord / Apple” below the related notice). Each acceptance is logged for evidentiary purposes: date, document version, truncated IP address and browser or device.
You undertake to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for any activity carried out from your account. Any suspicious activity or unlawful content must be reported without delay to [email protected]. Only one account per person is allowed.
The service is open to users residing in the European Union. Perform Code SAS reserves the right to restrict, suspend or block access to the service or to payment from one or more territories at any time, and to change the geographic area covered, in particular for regulatory, tax, security or technical reasons.
3. Description of the service and AI-generated content
From the course materials you upload, StudiAI generates learning materials and corrections using artificial intelligence models. Use of the service is based on a credit system whose volume depends on your plan.
Generated content is labelled as produced by an AI. It is provided as a revision aid: it may contain errors, approximations or omissions and replaces neither your course materials, nor your teachers’ assessment, nor your own checking. The marks and scores displayed are indicative and have no official value.
4. Plans, credits and pricing
StudiAI offers a Free plan, two paid subscriptions (Essential and Premium) available with weekly, monthly or annual billing, as well as credit packs that can be bought individually. The credit allowances of each plan, the fair use cap of 2,000 credits per month and the prices in force are shown in the Pricing section of the home page (https://studi-ai.com/#pricing) and detailed in the Terms of Sale. Prices are shown inclusive of all taxes.
On the website, payments are processed by Stripe and prices are displayed in euros. On the iOS app, purchases are in-app purchases processed by Apple’s App Store: the price displayed is the one set by the App Store in your local currency, and renewal, management and cancellation take place in Settings > Subscriptions on your Apple device.
Subscription credits are reset at each cycle and do not carry over; pack credits do not expire for as long as the account exists. Any price change or any reduction in allowance affecting an ongoing subscription is notified by email at least 30 days in advance, with the option to cancel free of charge.
5. Acceptable use
You undertake not to:
- upload unlawful, defamatory or hateful content, or content infringing the rights of third parties (copyright, privacy);
- use the service to produce work intended to mislead an examiner or to circumvent the rules of your institution (cheating, plagiarism, exam fraud);
- divert the service from its purpose as a revision aid (resale, redistribution of content, scraping, reverse engineering, abusive automation);
- attempt to circumvent technical limits, credit allowances, the fair use cap or security measures;
- impersonate a third party or create several accounts;
- interfere with the operation of the service or the integrity of its systems.
You remain solely responsible for the use you make of the generated content, in particular with regard to the anti-plagiarism and academic integrity rules of your institution. Any breach may lead to the suspension or deletion of the account, without prejudice to consumer rights.
6. Intellectual property
The service, its brand, its source code, its interface, its generation models and its databases remain the exclusive property of Perform Code SAS. No right is transferred to you other than a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service under the conditions set out herein.
You retain ownership of the course materials and documents you upload. You grant StudiAI a limited, non-exclusive and revocable licence, strictly necessary to process them in order to generate the content you request. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights over those documents.
You have a personal right of use, for revision purposes, over the content generated from your documents. Reselling or redistributing it commercially is prohibited without written authorisation.
7. Referrals
StudiAI offers a free referral programme open to all users. Each user has a personal referral code and link. A referee is linked to their referrer by signing up through this link or by entering this code; this link is established only once and cannot be changed.
When the referee takes out a first paid subscription and the payment is actually collected, the referee receives the discount displayed (currently −10 % on their first invoice) and the referrer receives the reward shown in their referral area: a discount (currently −10 %) applied to their next subscription invoice. Only one referral discount applies per invoice: if several referees become paying customers during the same cycle, the additional discounts are put on hold and applied to subsequent invoices. The referrer’s reward requires an active paid subscription; failing that, it is put on hold and applied after they subscribe. The number of rewarded referees per referrer is capped. Rewards are personal, non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be converted into cash.
Only one account per person is allowed. Any abuse (self-referral, fake accounts, automation, technical circumvention) results in the cancellation of the rewards concerned and may lead to the suspension of the account. The reward is also withdrawn in the event of a refund, a withdrawal or the deletion of the referee’s account before it is collected.
8. Right of withdrawal
You are in principle entitled to a period of 14 days in which to withdraw (Article L. 221-18 of the French Consumer Code). As StudiAI is a digital service performed immediately, you expressly request its immediate performance by ticking the separate box provided at payment, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been performed. As soon as you take a first action that consumes credits (generation, correction, question to the assistant), the service is deemed performed for the portion used (Article L. 221-28, 1°). The procedure for exercising this right is detailed in the Terms of Sale.
9. Termination
Any subscription can be cancelled at any time from your settings, in three clicks, free of charge, without justification and without any further steps (Law no. 2022-1158 of 16 August 2022). For a subscription taken out through the iOS app, cancellation takes place in Settings > Subscriptions on your Apple device. Your access remains active until the end of the current period; no pro rata refund is made for a period already started.
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Perform Code SAS may suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, in particular in the event of abusive use, fraud or a breach of Article 5.
10. Availability of the service
Perform Code SAS undertakes to provide the service with reasonable care, but does not guarantee 100 % availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, force majeure or the failure of a technical subcontractor (host, AI provider, payment service provider). No compensation will be due on that basis, save in the event of gross negligence by the publisher.
11. Limitation of liability
Generated content is provided as an educational aid. Perform Code SAS cannot be held liable for school or university results, for decisions taken on the basis of the generated content, or for academic penalties resulting from a use contrary to the rules of your institution. You remain solely responsible for the use you make of the service.
The liability of Perform Code SAS is excluded save in the event of gross negligence or intentional fault and is, in any event, limited to the amount you have actually paid over the last twelve months. Perform Code SAS is not liable in the event of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. These limitations do not apply to personal injury or where the law prohibits them.
12. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy (https://studi-ai.com/confidentialite). You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, which can be exercised from your settings or by email to [email protected].
13. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be amended to adapt to changes in the service or to new legal obligations. Any substantial change is notified by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, leaving you the possibility of cancelling your subscription free of charge if you do not accept the new terms. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at an amicable resolution ([email protected]), you may refer the matter free of charge to a French consumer ombudsman (contact details provided on simple request) or to the European online dispute resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules applicable to consumers.
